We have an excellent opportunity to join a global distributor of speciality chemicals as a Business Manager at their Head Office in Leeds City Centre.

As a Business Manager, your core responsibility will be to maximise business opportunities, volume and profit within existing distribution deals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with current Principals
  • Write and communicate policies and strategy for existing distribution deals to all relevant departments
  • Communicate new product launches internally to staff and ensure appropriate training is organised for all employees
  • Co-ordinate joint visits with Principals, to customers, to heighten the profile and strengthen relationships
  • Maximise business potential with existing Principals, considering new product areas and territories
  • Compile reports, including market feedback on competitor activity
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the product portfolio
  • Understand the market and competitor profile for each of the product areas
  • Lead all price and service negotiations to secure the best package for the Company

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Degree educated in Chemistry or Life Sciences with Business modules.
  • Knowledge or a keen interest in the cosmetics, beauty, pharmaceuticals, home care and cleaning industries.
  • Outstanding communicator.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Forward thinker who can identify opportunities for business development.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • The ability to manage responsibilities and work autonomously.
